John's Prie-Dieu

It was going to happen eventually. I know a lot of people who are in it. So, I hear about it a lot. Also, I pray the Rosary daily anyways, so it was just a matter of time. Legion of Mary. (Legio Mariæ) So this is the basic leaflet explaining the praying from home part. and below is the Miraculous Medal,  Prayer leaflets and  Maria Legionis the newsletter (The Rosary beads are my own) When you join you are on probation for three months to see if it is a good fit into your lifestyle But, as I am praying the Rosary daily for a long time now I have every confidence it will work. There is a Legion of Mary office in Galway and a Cathedral link too.

I was walking around Galway and I popped into  St. Mary's Dominican Church in the Claddagh I knew it was there because of the Knights of St Columbanus Camino last year but, I hadn't looked inside. Here are some pics (you know how to zoom in, don't you?) Just wow, isn't that amazing.. (not to mention all the cute little creatures) Another shot with the cute little creatures in focus, the barrier blocks the photo a bit Then there is an old fashioned confession box, but the Dominicans call it the  Sacrament of Reconciliation  One side says 'Kneeler' I assume that means the confessor The other side says 'seat' And last, but not least, inside the door an ACTUAL Prie-Dieu (Prayer Desk) The Prie-Dieu area There was a lot more, but I didn't want to appear like a tourist or something, maybe another day...
